![]() It's actually really good, unlike previous generations. This is what happens when a major news website posts about a show with a huge cult following on the internet I thought My Little Pony was a lovely breath of fresh air in that arena. I'm a 26 year old female fan, and I'm just happy to see a television cartoon that's well done and appealing! After going to school for animation, I've been disillusioned over seeing all the low budget, half thought out shows being made for younger kids. I don't hate on you for not liking the show, please don't hate on me. If you're not a fan, give a nod toward that fact and move on. On the other side of things, can't we be fans and like things regardless of it's intended audience? The fact that My Little Pony is loved by people up to (and possibly upwards) of 50 is an impressive feat. That doesn't give us older pony fans the right to complain over misrepresentation, as, when considering the marketing angle, we aren't represented (the shoutout in the video is still awesome though). There's a diffence between 'fan base' and 'target demographic,' and any publicity for the show will most likely go for target demographic, those seven year old girls. Absolutely shocked by all the snarky responses from BOTH sides on this article.
